Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was first person to reach a flawless 10 in an Olympic celebration. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who later became her coach later in life, discovered her at age six. The first time she competed at the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She was the winner in 1970. She won three golds in her very first contest in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972, which was a communist bloc countries. In 1973 and 1974, she was the junior all-round champion. Her debut as a Senior in the year 1975, she defeated Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champ winning four golds and a silver. In 1976 she became the first person in the world to use a backwards-double salto to dismount from the parallel bars. Her career began in entertainment in her teens performing as a figure skating duo with her sister Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol was a professional in the entertainment business when she was a teenager. At the age of 13, Carol began as a figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured staged ice skating performance.
