Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. She is the oldest child in a family of four. She was encouraged by her parents, dentist, and a teacher who both taught her to pursue her passion for the theatre. This was in contrast her earlier ambition to pursue a career as a primateologist since she loved monkeys. The early success of her career and the rapid rise in fame made her a promising young actor. It was only in 1999, after which she began acting professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou took part in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was raised in the context of a Catholic home, and was a member of the religious services, despite having was a student at school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. Neben her acting, Tautou pursued modelling and was the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. Additionally, she is a keen interest in photography and recently presented an exhibit of her work during the Arles Festival with the name Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on fame and celebrity and focuses the camera on those who scrutinized her following her sudden rise in fame and fortune with Amelie and several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her first role in Amelie Poulain in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie. Amelie achieved international success on the screen and also won numerous awards across the globe. It's the most-grossing French film to be released in the United States. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in many movies ranging including British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
