Raised in an average neighborhood she was a bright student at school and in university. Apryl was gifted from an early age and her love of music led her to her aspirations. Then she went to see an acclaimed singer, and was invited to perform as backup vocalist. They later decided to join the cast of VH1's popular series Hollywood. The premiere season is about the birth and pregnancy of Megaa Grandberry. In season two she reveals the conflicts in her career and insecurities associated with her recent success. Apryl and Omarion were not present at the filming of the second season's reunion as he was on tour. Apryl announced on the 7th of December 2015 that they had both left the show. They will not being on the show in the coming season. A'mei, the daughter of Apryl, was born on the 7th of March the 7th of March in 2016. Apryl split from Omarion 4 months later. Apryl made a guest-appearance in season 4, meeting with Lil' Fizz to discuss the possibility of a B2K reunion. Apryl is back on the show in season six, which revolves around her custody fight with Omarion in addition to the speculation in the press and criticism surrounding her relationships to Lil' Fizz. Both have admitted to romantic ties and force Apryl into a fight with Moniece.
