Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in the United States. The actress is an actress, singer and dancer. Her early roles on Broadway included in musicals Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in a Play. Annaleigh Ashley Tony Award winning actor and actress, has worked with directors, actors, and other performers on stage and screen for her entire career. Ashford will next be seen starring opposite Kumail Nanjiani in the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford's current project includes the Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film will be available through Disney's DTC platforms as a Hulu Original. It will be released in 2023, March. Ashford will return to Broadway and star opposite Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The same team that created Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail is at the helm of the production. Ashford was last seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis, which saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the middle of the first impeachment proceeding in America during the Over 100 Years. Her two-season stint on the CBS comedy B Positive was her first big role. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not new to Broadway was awarded both Tony Drama Desk Awards as along with Outer Critics Circle Awards in the role as Essie. The actress has also been on Broadway on Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde as well as the original part in the role of Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for an Tony Award. Ashford is an Denver resident who splits his time in Los Angeles.
